First and second-year doctoral students must prepare the annual report by September 15th of each year. The annual report should contain all supporting documentation, such as course and conference attendance certificates, publications, awards, etc. By the same deadline, the supervisor is required to provide a written comment on the PhD student’s activities. The annual report should be submitted to the coordinator via email. Furthermore, before the end of the first and second year, doctoral students must present their research orally to the Academic Board in English. The Academic Board, considering the supervisor’s opinion, the annual report and the annual presentation evaluates the PhD students’ activity.
The judgement can be:
– Positive: The doctoral student is admitted for the following year.
– Conditional: The doctoral student is admitted to the following year but with conditions. In this case, the PhD student is given specific objectives to be achieved within 12 months. If these objectives are not met, the doctoral student will not be admitted to the following year.
– Negative: The doctoral student is not admitted to the following year.
